Buy Me Some Peanuts and Cracker Jacks(and cotton candy and bbq corn and hot dogs and soda and ice cream....)

The family went to the Padres game on Saturday night. We took advantage of the "Padres Value Weekend", which is basically a ploy to get you in the gates cheaply and then seduce you with a plethora of tasty food. Nonetheless, we were highly entertained and well fed.

James had a hard time comprehending that we were going to the game with "just our family". We do tend to do most activities with friends or extended family in tow. The concept of a family-on;y activity was foreign and disturbing to him. All the more reason to do it, right? I feel that we will be fighting this battle alot in the upcoming teenage years. James has been talking about getting a foam finger for a long time. Dreams do come true. Abby got some good finger fun too.

Can you say fair-weather fans?? This game opened with a Pads home run. We Mendenhalls are good luck I guess.

The park at the park is a brilliant idea. We all got a chance to hit and run the bases.

We left at bottom of the 7th inning, right after a moving rendition of "Take me out to the Ballgame". Turns out the game went 16 innings!!! Unbelievable, the diehards definitely got their money's worth at this game. We'll be going again sometime soon this season. Maybe we'll even invite friends.....

What is it with foam fingers? I remember when it was Jordan's fondest dream to own one.

You guys are adorable.

what a fun night with just the family! Our kids freak out to when we do things as a family - where is the entourage?

We were just there last night! Missed you by a week! We also made ourselves sick by eating an assorted concoction of goodies. We were also commenting how we brought good luck as we won the game three to one! Next time, we will have to combine our energy -so to speak:)
