The Many Party Faces

Here's the stars of the day! Their brilliant Moms combined their party fun for a HSM themed jump-a-thon.


A birthday party at Pump It Up brings out many emotions. David is thrilled to celebrate his 6th birthday with good buddies like Dallin, et al.

 

Funny Johnny is always the life of the party.

 

Sunny can't contain her excitement. One party for two friends? Doesn't get much better!!

 

Can you say "knockout"? For all you skeptics out there, it's official, I took down the Chicken. (She can start her own blog if she wants to dispute my claim....) "Eyes on the prize Laura, Eyes on the Prize."

 

Never looking back?

The 2008 Pop Warner season came to an end tonight. We finished with a great win against Torrey Pines. As I stretched the jersey over the pads for the last time today, I felt a twinge of sadness. Will James ever don the football uniform for official play again? It's probably too early to say, but he doesn't seem to have any interest in playing again. He stuck it out for the whole season though, he didn't give up. That's all we asked of him.

 

He seems to only be looking forward to the next sport. But, then again, never say never....

The Big Night

Belle was very excited about posing with "The Witch". The hat, black shirt and black toenail polish were the best I could do for a costume. We had a yummy dinner, when I say "we" I am mostly referring to the adults since we could barely get the kids to eat anything. We had Gerilyn and her family over, making this an official tradition, three years running.

 

Aloe and Abby settled right into their "chariot". Batman tried to sneak in the back..

 

Grandpa set up his post to pass out the goodies. It was such a beautiful, perfect night. It was warm and clear out. Thank you San Diego for being such an awesome place to live!

 

Here's the crew all set to go. This was the only time we got them all in one spot long enough to take a snapshot. Come to think of it, are we missing anyone from this picture? who knows? How does G do it? At least she had help from her Mom and S arrived later. But, seriously, she deserves major kudos for getting 6 all dressed up!

 

I love this shot of James with Mariner's Grandma. He wanted to see if she knew how to shoot a duct tape gun. Not too bad!

 

Now where else could you find the inflatble headless horseman but at our neighborhood Medevial-times-fanatic house? Way to go, David, for looking tough.

 

What's up? Not enough houses to trick-or-treat at on this block? Keep moving on sister....

 

Sign Waving

I could not have been happier than to spend a morning with these studs! I can't imagine how dull it would have been to stand out there alone. It was slightly embarassing how much I enjoyed myself! People watching on a busy corner is one of my favorite pasttimes now.

 

I'm so proud of these parents of mine! My spunky Mom even weathered a heckler with grace. (Notice her stragetic placement on the sidewalk.)

 

Belmont Village

Abby got to sing for her first offical audience. (Other than family, of course.) She glowed in the spotlight! She belted out all the spooky lyrics in perfect tone. Randy, Paula and Simon would have definietly sent her on to Hollywood. Her costume choice was perfect too, don't you think?

Good thing the boys didn't have school so they could tag along and score some candy too!!
